Mrs Catherine Nwabueze was born into the family of late Chief Peter Madunyeli and Mrs Roselyn Adaeze Okwuosah of Odekpe village in Ogbaru local government area of Anambra state, as the first child of her parents.
She attended St Patrick's primary school Odekpe. She spent four(4) years in the village from 1955 -1958 and immaculate Heart Convent School Fegge/Onitsha where she obtained her first school leaving certificate with distinction in 1960 .
She then proceeded to the then famous Queen of the Holy Rosary college Onitsha she was there from 1961 to 1965 she obtained her Cambridge certificate with grade one(1). In the Year 1966 she proceeded to Hussey College Warri for her higher school certificate (HSC) .While there the Civil War broke out.
She met and married her dashing late husband Chief Bennett Egbuna on the 26th of December 1968 where they spent another two years while the Nigeria /Biafra war was at its peak. They eventually relocated to warri in the Year 1970 at the end of the civil war.
She was a renowned teacher and taught in several schools and retired as a teacher in 1996.
Along the line death snatched her husband on the 18th of November 1984 after 16 years of marriage leaving her to face the onerous task of raising 9 children all by herself! After her husband's death she became an avid Christian and brought up her children to be thesame. She was an active member of the Christrian Mothers association as well as the Sacred heart society.
She left Assumption parish for Our lady queen of Apostles parish Jeddo on the 20th of December 2016 until she slept in the lord on the 10th of February 2021.
She is well travelled and spent whatever free time she could afford travelling. She completed the religious pilgrimage to Israel and is a registered Justice of Peace (JP).
She is well known as a philantropist and for her services to the church and community.
